Compare the responsibility behind each option
The table describes the different approaches, not a list of integrations included with Sembang.
| Approach | Useful for | Your team’s responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| AI website chatbot | Explaining approved company information and guiding enquiries | Maintain the sources, test answers and handle follow-up |
| Staffed live chat | A discussion that needs a person’s judgement | Provide available staff and manage waiting visitors |
| Contact form | A visitor who already knows what to ask | Review submissions and respond through the agreed channel |
When a website chatbot is a useful fit
A chatbot is worth evaluating when visitors ask recurring questions about your services and the answers exist in approved business content. A conversation can help them find information without knowing which page to open.
Sembang combines that informational role with guided enquiries. It does not replace your team’s judgement or guarantee the correctness of every answer. Questions outside the approved information need an honest fallback and an appropriate next step.
When a person needs to make the decision
Negotiating a proposal, interpreting an unusual requirement or making a commitment on behalf of your business requires an authorised person. Decide how those requests reach your team and what the visitor is told about the next step.
Sembang’s staff workspace is for reviewing enquiries and managing the described workflow. Do not assume that a staffed live-chat console or automatic transfer to an agent is included. Discuss any such requirement with sales.
Use a small evaluation before committing
Choose common questions, one question with no approved answer and one realistic enquiry. Walk through each as a visitor, then review the result as a staff member. This makes it easier to see which approach suits your website and where your team still needs a clear process.
